A little bit about me...
Hello, I'm Colkeyah Philpot, a wife, mother of six, and a proud grandmother of two. I wear multiple hats in life, serving as a licensed realtor and providing care for both adults and children. Born in the vibrant city of Chicago, I embarked on a journey that brought me to Iowa City in 1995, where I had the pleasure of meeting my husband, David now of 27 years. Today, we call Des Moines, Iowa, our home.
My journey is marked not only by my marriage but also by the role as the oldest daughter in my family. I faced the challenges of life at an early age when my mother passed away when I was just sixteen. I had to shoulder the responsibility of helping to raise my younger siblings, which instilled in me a sense of nurturing and responsibility that I carry into my roles today. Despite the trials, I've found solace in my faith, and I'm married to a wonderful man, a pastor who shares my passion for helping others.
Beyond my professional roles, I find joy in shopping, the power of prayer, and the exploration of new destinations. However, my heart truly belongs with my family, where every moment is cherished.
